Crane Estate Engagement session with Amy & Ryan

Vintage elegance.  This was the atmosphere Amy & Ryan were searching for as they chose the location of their engagement session.  The Crane Estate in Ipswich, MA was a natural choice and provided the perfect backdrop for this romantic session.

Once you take your first step onto the Crane Estate, you immediately feel the weight of its presence.  Garden after intricate garden, the immaculate rolling greens lead you to the crowning jewel, Castle Hill.

Completed in 1910, the grand estate sits on 2,100 acres and was originally built as a summer home for the Chicago Industrialist, Richard T. Crane, Jr.

Feeling as if we were walking through a scene from the Great Gatsby, Amy, Ryan & I explored the grounds of the Crane Estate.  Beautiful walkways, stone staircases and wrought iron gates were some of the many great details that added to the texture of our collection.

Checkmate!  While the life size chess pieces are a fun prop for our engagement session, this added touch by the Crane Estate is a great way to entertain guests.

What an amazing afternoon!  Lucky to have perfect weather and the great company of Amy & Ryan, it was a pleasure to capture this gorgeous couple's love!  Congratulations!  We are so happy for you both and are very excited for your wedding next year!

Engagement Session at Ames Mansion, Borderland State Park

Nicole & PJ brought us back to one of our favorite locations for engagement sessions - Borderland State Park.  We explored the grounds of Ames Mansion, which was built in the early 1900's for the family of Harvard educated botanist, Oakes Ames and his wife, Blanche, an artist who attended Smith College.  This majestic home provides a great backdrop for our session.

The warm tones of the wooden doors and the stone arches at the North entrance are intimate spots where the texture of the building really adds to the beauty of the composition.

Traveling along the Pond Walk trail, we came to the open fields where the setting sun, coupled with the tall grass were absolutely gorgeous.  Nicole & PJ danced, held hands and seemed to be the only two people in the world!

Congratulations to this kind and beautiful couple!  Thank you, Nicole & PJ for a wonderful session.  We are so happy for you both and can't wait for your wedding this Fall! ~ Nancy & Omer.

Wellesley College Engagement Session with Mary & Mike

Nestled along the shores of Lake Waban in Wellesley, MA, Wellesley College offers many photo opportunities along its walking and hiking paths.  This prestigious all women's college has a long list of accomplished graduates who at one point in their lives called this beautiful campus their home.

As one of their favorite spots to visit, Mary & Mike chose Wellesley college for their engagement session.  Along the walking paths we came across fields and tall grasses, which together with the setting sun created a romantic canvas.

Located just about 20 miles from the heart of Boston, Wellesley College is decorated with impressive brick and stone buildings as well as beautiful views from most spots. We came across bridges and many beautiful trees that created a perfect ambiance for Mary & Mike's hugs and giggles!

During our session, I had the pleasure of meeting Mary & Mike's dog, Higgins, who was an absolute sweetheart!  He was so well behaved and looked at the camera every time I called his name - he was a perfect model!

Throughout their entire session, I was impressed by what a great team Mary & Mike are together - the way they plan, look out for each other and take care of their sweet Higgins.  We are so happy to be part of your story and can't wait until the big celebration next year!  Congratulations to this beautiful couple!  Thank you for a wonderful session! ~Nancy & Omer.

Borderland State Park Engagement Session with Tammy & Gary

Borderland State Park Engagement Session with Tammy & Gary

Tammy & Gary were two of our winners from the Massachusetts Bridal and Wedding Expo, which took place this January 2016 in Wilmington, MA.  They decided to have their session at the Borderland State Park, North Easton, MA.  Borderland State Park got its name from the fact that this estate lies on the border with another town, Sharon, MA.

With ponds, bridges, meadows, gorgeous trees and a mansion, Borderland State Park is a wonderful place to have an engagement session.  Together with Tammy & Gary, we walked around this sprawling estate and found lovely backdrops hidden around every corner.

One key to a successful engagement session is having fun - sometimes that means running around, letting go and remembering what it was like to be a child.

Surprisingly, some of the best photographs can be taken when you completely forget that the camera is around at all.

We were blown away by the beauty of the park, but more so from the energy and spirit of Tammy & Gary.  This beautiful couple managed to find each other in this gigantic world and their lives will never be the same again.  At the risk of sounding corny - their love is simply amazing!  It was a pleasure to photograph you!

Thank you for an absolutely incredible session - we are so happy that we pulled your name from the raffle and got to meet you!  We are also grateful to have the opportunity to capture your wedding this Fall - we can't wait! ~Nancy & Omer.

Castle Island, MA Engagement Session with Lauren & Kyle

"I went out with my girl friends; Kyle arrived with his group of friends..." and the rest is history.  We always love getting to know our clients during the engagement session.  Not only do we get a sense of how they feel in front of the camera, but we love learning how they fell in love with each other...

Kyle & Lauren chose Castle Island, South Boston, MA for their engagement session primarily because of its pretty stone beach and oceanfront pillars.

Castle Island is the home of Fort Independence and was connected to the main land almost a hundred years ago.  Independence Fort itself offers great, textured granite walls and is a wonderful spot to watch planes landing and taking off from Boston Logan Airport.

We explored the beach, Independence Fort as well as the Donald McKay Memorial obelisk, honoring this master ship builder from the 1800's.  The beautiful views and incredible sunset were a perfect backdrop for Lauren & Kyle's engagement session.

As the sun was setting and our session was coming to a close, we remembered that Lauren wanted to have a photo being lifted in the air by Kyle.  The romantic colors of the skyline made this lift even that much more spectacular!  Thank you for the great session!

Congratulations to this incredibly sweet couple - Lauren & Kyle!  Looking forward to your wedding day next spring! ~Nancy & Omer.

Salem, MA Engagement Session with Tatiana & Ricky

Tatiana and Ricky asked if it was possible to come out to their home to take engagement photos in Salem, MA and also at King's beach in Lynn, MA near Red Rock Park.  Having never been there before, we were definitely up for trying out the new spot!

Salem, MA might be better known for its witch trials that took place in the 1600's, but it is also a lovely location for an engagement session.  The cobblestone streets and brick facades lend to Salem's historic feel, which were the motivating factor in Tatiana and Ricky's decision to be photographed here.

After exploring Salem's historic center, we drove to the ocean side and walked along Lynn Shore Drive, checking out the great texture of the seawalls and walking along the water's edge.  This beach area is very dramatic and quite romantic, which was absolutely perfect for our session...

As the evening came to a close, Tatiana and Ricky let their balloons go free - a picturesque ending to a wonderful night.  Thank you for your great company and for an amazing session - we are so excited for you both!  Can't wait for next year! ~Nancy&Omer.

Alyssa & Jonathan's Boston Public Garden and Beacon Hill Engagement Session

Alyssa & Jonathan chose the Boston Public Garden and Beacon Hill for their engagement session. The red brick facades and the overall historic feel of Beacon Hill make it a great back drop for photos.  The Boston Public garden never disappoints when you are looking for beautiful greenery in the heart of city.  We had a great time exploring Acorn Street, as well as the unusually quiet beauty of the Public Garden on a cloudy, Sunday evening, while chit-chatting about how this beautiful couple first met each other!  We are so happy for you both; congratulations Alyssa & Jonathan! ~Nancy&Omer.
